In the summer a nice terrace where you can enjoy traditional food and drinks. Nice employees and absolutely okay in terms of price. The cocktails and drinks crash in and are freshly prepared, praise to you bar! In this case, however, you might prefer to use a taxi or local public transport instead of a bike or car to get home.

Food is quite alright. Some dishes are dry or too salty. Edit: I'm touched by the restaurant's good will so I'm changing the rating from 4-star to 5-star - also, the Krautsalat was phenomenal!

Very nice tavern. The beer tasting, 8 x 0.1 l freshly tapped beers, is legendary. The food is delicious and the prices are fair.

After a shopping tour through Karlsruhe, I ate one of the most delicious vegetarian burgers here yesterday with a delicious side salad and baked potatoes with sour cream.

The food was very good. The homemade iced tea was great. The price-performance ratio was okay, but certainly a bit more expensive due to the central location.

Right at the beginning we asked where we should sit down. The waitress showed us a free space where we sat down. After 20 minutes we still didn't get a card and left the local area

I ordered my favorite salad (€ 8.90); was 1: 1 like Lehner's healthy companion (4.40 €). The following was missing: radishes, sprouts, roasted sunflower seeds, cocktail tomatoes. Unfortunately, when I asked, I only got the following comment: I'm sorry that it didn't meet your expectations. My "idea" is based on the description on the card ... super-fail Extremely saved on the ingredients!

The place is very nice. Had the pumpkin soup. Was a bit surprised about the small portion at the price. Fortunately, I was able to eat my fill of bread.

Convenience Food.

We sat in the outside area after a waitress told us we can sit wherever there is free space. When we were sitting, another employee yelled at us loudly from a few meters away that we were not allowed to sit there because the table had not yet been disinfected and we should be able to tell by the fact that dishes were still on the table. When we wanted to answer that we weren't aware of this, she interrupted us and claimed it was in the media everywhere (???). We should get up and wait until another table becomes free. Which we didn't do because it was too late anyway and the lady was extremely rude. She also discussed loudly with guests at the next table and also pimped one of her colleagues in front of all the guests. Something like that doesn't work at all. The waitress who served us was friendly though. Food and drinks were delicious, but nothing special for the price and the mood of the staff. The employee concerned did not seem to have given any thought to her behavior and we did not even get a word to her, let alone rude.

Nice ambience but we were just forgotten for 20 minutes when we got the menu. Even after ordering at the bar (from ourselves) we waited 15 minutes in vain. The waitress wanted to deal with "the many tables and customers". This is not a problem from the customer but from the management. When I set up so many tables and charge 8 euros per cocktail, then as a customer I expect a certain level of service.

Good food! Friendly staff! And the "Mittagstisch" is suficient and worths the money..

Bad service ☹

Everything was very well done, we were satisfied with the food and drink. We were also very well served and would be happy to come back. There wasn't a full 5 star here, that's the standard. I wasn't completely blown away that I would be back in a minute.

Huge outdoor area where you can sit great. Extensive menu, delicious food, great beer (Lehner's beer tasting is recommended!). The cocktails are awesome too. I would love to come back!

You can sit outside nicely, food ("Lehnsherrensteak") was good, service very nice and funny. Gladly again! Be sure to visit the toilets, there are lots of beer slogans hanging there. Suggestion for improvement: publish nutritional information on all dishes in the restaurant or on the website.

Nice restaurant with nice outside area. The food was good, the service very nice.

Went there on a weekend at 22:15. It was packed and unfortunately the waitress didn't make it to my table in time and as the kitchen was closed ( 22:30 ) I only had the choice of tarte or sausage salad, which was ok. Update ( 2020-03-13 ): Have been visiting this location again during lunch time and gave the "Falscher Hase" ( priced at 9.50 EUR ) of their "Mittagstisch" a try. Calling out a price in this region for a lunch menu there are some expectations which unfortunately could not be achieved as in value for money and/or portion size. Unfortunately I have also chosen their lemon ice tea which was even worse ( 4.70 EUR for 50+% of crushed ice in a non-alcoholic drink ). I can't recommend this location for lunch and the only reason this review is not 1 star is the waitress ( Flora ).

Nice traditional food for a acceptabele price

The Bier was okay , but the haxe is not that good. Its hard like stone tbh. Not recommended if you wanted to eat Haxe in Karlsruhe.Try dusseldorf.

Great food, the Medaillons were excellent as well as the beers. The only downer is the rough service.

Old school german kick back restaurant

Traditional German restaurant. Good food, good service, value for money. We were a party of 4. We arrived without a reservation at 19:30. The place was packed but we were sitted in 5 minutes as soon as a table was cleared. The menu has something for everyone and is available in English too. We had a vegetarian in our group. She was pleased with their green dishes. With 1 main dish each a party size salad, 3 draft beers and a small bottled water, the bill was under 80€. I totally recommend it.

**New review** More than 40 min waiting for one schnitzel and more than 10 minutes to pay the bill, the service was better and food more tasteful. Good food for a fair price. Better to visit during sunny season, so you can eat outside :)

Chill spot. English menu and nice servers. Relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Service was attentive and quick for my experience. Was there 8-9pm Thursday. Food was good but obviously German touristy. I was happy and would go back!

German usually know few abt food... but this restaurant actually serve fine German cuisine, personally recommend pork knuckle, with fine drinks as well. One of the best restaurant in town!

A table of nine was booked for an early Birthday lunch... Nothing was prepared, as if they just opened and were not ready for service. Nobody welcomed the Birthday Girl and it took about ten minutes for them to work out where to seat us... Not very professional... The waitress was friendly but very short... The food - German specialities - was very mediocre and was missing some love definitely... All in all it was not very satisfying for the host. We paid and went for dessert to an Italian ice-café which gave us great service, great ice-cream and definitely saved the Birthday lunch...

The food is just amazing! Lovely schnitzel with French fries, friendly and good service. Awesome cocktails and beers to drink at the terrace that's on a nice open area. If you're ever in the neighborhood and wan't some great German food, go here!
